Averbode abdijbier and delirium tremens win gold medal at frankfurt international trophy

Melle, 23 April 2018 – Last week beer and wine experts joined in Frankfurt to taste and judge no less than 2250 products from 40 countries. 1 of the mayor winners was Brewery Huyghe: Averbode Abbey beer and Delirium Tremens both won a gold medal, respectively in the categories Pale Ale – Abbey Belgian-Style Blond and Pale-Ale–Belgian Style Triple. These are the 4th and 5th medal for Huyghe this year.

Brewery Huyghe wins 3 silver beer medals 2 times for Averbode abdijbier and 1 time for Delirium Tremens

Melle, 9 May 2019 – Brewery Huyghe strikes again! In the past weeks the brewer from Melle won 3 medals: 2 at the London Beer Competition (2x silver) and 1 at the Concours International de Lyon. The winning beers were Averbode Abbey Beer (2x) and Delirium Tremens.

(INTER)NATIONAL GROUP OF LADIES BREWS FOR GOOD CAUSE. 7TH EDITION DELIRIA BREWING LINKED TO THINK PINK

Just like the previous years, January is 'Deliria' - month at brewery Huyghe: on Saturday, January 19 an international group of 18 Belgian, Dutch, American, Colombian, South Korean, French and Portuguese ladies travelled to Melle to brew Deliria. This heavy, blond beer of 8.5% counts many fans both on the local market and abroad, but the volume is deliberately kept low. For this 7th edition only 450 HL was brewed, so it remains an exclusive beer.

BRONZE, SILVER AND GOLD FOR BREWERY HUYGHE AT INTERNATIONAL BEER CHALLENGE IN TOTAL ALREADY 12 MEDALS THIS YEAR FOR THE BELGIAN BREWER

Melle, 10 August 2018 – Brewery Huyghe is a regular participant of the renowned Beer Challenge and in the past multiple medals were won. The 2018 edition was a big success in any case: the brewer from Melle won a bronze, silver and gold medal for respectively Delirium Red, Delirium Tremens and Averbode abbey beer. Huyghe is doing better than last year, when 'only' 2 medals were won. By winning 3 new medals the total medals won this year amounts to 12.

Brewery Huyghe reaches milestone: argentina is the 100th export country

Melle, 23 June 2018 – In the presence of Belgian princess Astrid an exclusive distribution contract between Huyghe and Rosario will be signed at the Belgian embassy in Buenos Aires next Tuesday. Huyghe will reach a milestone by doing so: Argentina will be the 100th export country for the brewery. But the introduction was far from smooth: no less than 6 years and a name change – not Delirium Tremens but DT will enter the market - were needed. According to the brewery Argentina has the potential to quickly become an important growth market.

Brewery Huyghe signs Green Deal with Flemish Government

On the eve of the Belgian Beer Weekend in Brussels, nine (1) Flemish breweries - including Huyghe – are signing an agreement with the Flemish Government to join forces in making water consumption in the brewing sector more sustainable. The objective is to reduce the consumption of groundwater from aquifers in the brewing process by 2022. Brewery Huyghe - which has been working hard for years to become the greenest brewer in the country - already has implemented many measures to achieve this goal, but commits itself to raising the bar even higher by signing the Deal.

4 new medals for Brewery Huyghe

Melle, 25 May 2018 – Brewery Huyghe is still in the winning mood: at the Meininger's International Craft Beer Awards La Guillotine won a gold medal, while Delirium Tremens excelled with a platinum medal. And also at the Australian International Beer Awards the beer with the pink elephant was successful: a silver medal was won. The abbey beer Averbode won a gold medal in Australia. This means 4 extra medals for Huyghe in only a couple of weeks' time. This brings the annual total to 9 medals.

Brewery Huyghe first Belgian brewer to open affiliate in Canada

Brewery Huyghe, who is part of the Belgian delegation of the Royal Trade Mission to Canada, will be signing a new contract with their local import Mc Clelland Premium Imports next week. Together with their importer the brewer from Melle will also be opening an affiliate in Canada (Quebec), with the aim to grow substantially. The opening of an affiliate is a Belgian first.

Brewery Huyghe wins 3x gold and is overall winner at World Beer Idol competition

The year has only just begun and brewery Huyghe is already in a winning mood: in the Czech Prague the brewer from Melle won no less than 3 gold medals and Delirium Tremens was even awarded overall winner at the World Beer Idol competition. Last year Huyghe won 13 beer awards in total and they continue this way it looks like that record could be broken this year.

LA GUILLOTINE WINS AGAIN AT BRUSSELS BEER CHALLENGE: LAST YEAR A BRONZE MEDAL, THIS TIME A SILVER ONE!

The Brussels Beer Challenge has just announced the results of the beer competition at the Horeca Expo. The tasting took place in Namur earlier this month, where an international jury, made up of 85 experts, tried no less than 1400 beers from all over the world.
